Burj khalifa

Bring Burj Khalifa to life requires a combination of visionary ideals and sound science. In the process, the project racked up an impressive number of facts, figures and statistics.

World Records

In more than 828 meters 2716.5 feet and over 160 stories, Burj Khalifa has the following records:

  1. The tallest building in the world
  2. Standing tallest structure in the world
  3. Increased number of plants in the world
  4. Highest occupied floor in the world
  5. Alta observation deck outdoors in the world
  6. Elevator with the longest travel distance in the world
  7. Tallest service elevator in the world

Highest in the Supertall

Not only Burj Khalifa the world's tallest building, has also broken two other impressive records: tallest structure, which previously had KVLY-TV mast in Blanchard, North Dakota, and the tallest freestanding structure, previously held CN Tower in Toronto. The Chicago Board of Altos and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Buildings has established three criteria for determining what makes a high-altitude building. Burj Khalifa wins by far in all three categories.
Height to top of architecture
The height is measured from the level, significant, outdoors, lower pedestrian entrance to the architectural top of the building. This includes needles, but does not include antennas, signs, poles and other equipment-functional technique. This measure is the most used and is used to define the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat ranking of the world's tallest buildings.
Highest occupied floor
The height is measured from the level, significant, outdoors, pedestrian entrance lowest to highest occupied floor continuously inside the building. Maintenance areas are not included.
Height to tip
The height is measured from the level, significant, outdoors, pedestrian entrance lowest to the highest point of the building, regardless of the material or function of the highest element. This includes antennas, masts, signage and other equipment with technical functionality.
